Hi! Pictured here is a LifeJacket I made using chiffonsilk scarves that I hand dyed. There's a strip from a vintage curtain, a bit of store-bought lace. The binding is vintage silk taffeta ($250)
Remember that if you'd like to make your own LifeWear let me know!
I will teach you how in a 5 hour class for $60/person. All you need is fabric and a sewing machine.
You could also have me make a piece of LifeWear specifically for you!
If you supply me with fabric the price is discounted.

Here's a LifeVest I made using all sorts of vintage and some new fabrics. Yes,there's silk that I hand-dyed along with curtain fabric from the 50s (top of sleeve)
This vest is also lined
This one was made by using my hand-dyed chiffon silk scarves and a treasure of a scarf that I found in my Mom's dresser draw! The vest edges are binded with pink silk taffetta
Any questions? write to me here or at firstname.lastname@example.org
Thankyou! I'll be baaaack!

Hi! This is a photo of Phyllis Small Fiber Artist wearing her Life Vest that she masterly made at my class...well actually, my class is 5 hours, which has proven to give us enough time to make the lining (so the student knows now how to construct the entire vest) also time to get started on the top. If a student wants to come back for a second class to finish, great!...if not I will give some instruction via email as to how to finish up your unique and versatile fashion art piece! If you're interested in learning how to make a Life Vest please let me know at email@example.com
This is Bev Hughes who also took my class, wearing her creation. Bev and Phyllis used all commercial cottons.
Thankyou for sending photos, ladies!!! Have a great weekend!
